Rotherham United have appointed Steve McClaren as their new head of football. McClaren joins the club six months after resigning as Jamaica coach.
What's Next for Rotherham?
The 65-year-old will provide strategic leadership to Rotherham chairman Tony Stewart and the club's board on football-related matters. Stewart looks forward to seeing the value McClaren's experience will bring to the club.
McClaren's Experience
McClaren has extensive managerial experience, having managed Middlesbrough, England, and Newcastle United, among others. He won the League Cup with Middlesbrough and guided them to the final of the old Uefa Cup in 2006.

McClaren's Task
McClaren's first task will be to help find a new manager for the club, after Lee Clark departed at the end of the season. Clark failed to keep Rotherham in the third tier, with the club finishing 11 points from safety in 23rd place. McClaren's experience and enthusiasm will be key in turning around the club's fortunes.
